SETTING UP TEAM CONTACTS

As coaches are named if you know they will coach for you, or after the number of teams in each league are determined by VYI and listed by jersey color under "Teams & Divisions" each commissioner must enter the "Admin" portion of the Basketball portion of this WEB site using their assigned password and click on "Members" and then "Member Lookup" and find each of the persons they want listed as Team Contacts in their individual registration records.

NOTE:Every person who coaches MUST be registered in League Athletics with a usable address, phone number and email, MUST have a House Coach Application on file, MUST have completed a Background Investigation at NCSI within the past two years, and MUST have taken the Building Director Test within the past two years.

Once a coach name is found in their individual registration record, the commissioner must access the "Team" menu item and designate that person as a Coach, Asst. Coach, or other critical team function (only if that person has regular and authorized access to VYI participants...defined as being able to call a team meeting on their own), assign a team (list is displayed after Teams & Divisions has been updated for the season) and then Submit that page. The designated person should then show up on the Team Contact list for that league. 

After this step, and after all coaches are entered passwords may be distributed using the buttons at the bottom of the "Teams & Divisions" section for the appropriate season, if the commissioner has that security access.  If not, contact the Sport Commissioner, who can perform this function.
