VYI BASKETBALL COACHING REQUIREMENTS

VYI requires all head and assistant coaches complete the following administrative requirements before assessments, tryouts, practices, or other team activities begin.  Parents who indicate on their child’s registration form that they will coach but do not complete these requirements are ineligible to coach.  Parents who initially indicate that they will not volunteer and agree to pay the non-volunteer fee and later decide to coach will not receive refunds for coaching unless these administrative requirements are completed.

1. Complete a VYI basketball coaching application (under “Online Registration”).
2. Complete the building director registration form (under “Online Registration”).
3. Complete a National Center for Safety Initiatives Background Check (information provide by league commissioner).
